The tour starts with 6 days in Havana taking the pulse of the Cuban capital and its hectic dance and nightlife. Then we fly the SON-city of them all, Santiago de Cuba, where we will stay in 5 days. From Santiago we will go on beautiful mountain bus-tour to the town and nature pearl, Baracoa, at the East coast of Cuba for 3½ days, where we will thrill out, swim and do nature trecking among orthers. The tour ends with 1½ day in Havana.

The tour is for salsa dancers in Denmark, Scandinavia and Europe from beginners and intermediates to advanced level 1-3. There are seats for 18-24 participants.

You will be teached and trained by super high qualified instructors and assistants from some of Cuba's best dance schools including Madelyne "Marisuri" Garcia, Geldys Morales, Lazaro Pedroso and Tamara Alonso in Havana, Yanek Revilla, Karelia Despaigne and Sabor de Calle in Santiago de Cuba and the dance company Bara-rumba in Baracoa

Salsa Camp in Cuba in 2016 is organized by Salsa Camp Events in cooperation with the travel agencies Checkpoint Travel in Denmark and Gaviotatours in Cuba. Tour guide on the tour is yours truly, Carl Nielsen. I have arranged Salsa Camp in Cuba since 2012 and traveled and worked with culture meeting in Cuba since 2008.
On
the tour you will be able to enjoy and take advantage of me and my Cuban partners' network, commitment, knowledge and experience on Cuban salsa, music, culture and nature.

About the program:
The tour is organized with a flexible program in the best Salsa Camp style, with a mix of dance lessons, music, cultural meeting activities and excursions. You will both have the advantages of being in a large group with common dance lessons, events, parties and social activities and the advantages that you can design your own program with private dance lessons, cultural excursions, relaxing moments and go exploring by your own, just as you like.

Are you e.g. a dance freak, then you can design a program with private dance lessons ad libitum in Havana, Santiago and Baracoa, with just the dance instructors that you think best suits you and your needs to move forward in your dance!

Or if you eg. like to combine dance, culture and nature you will have the possibility, besides the offered cultural and nature tours, to make suggestions about what you would like to see. If this is not achiveable in the "main program", I will try to satisfy your wishes in the "a small additional program-" by arranging excursions etc. with English speaking Cuban guide from my Cuban partner network.

About the dance program
You will have dance workshops with Cuban instructors and assistants from one of the very best Cuban dance schools of Marisuri, Geldys Morales and Lazaro Pedroso in Havana and  Yanek Revilla's Dancing School, Sabor de Calle, in Santiago de Cuba and the Bara-rumba Dance Company in Baracoa.

The common dance program will include 16-hour of dance lessons and social dancing with Cuban dance partners in the morning plus social dancing with Cuban partners at the welcome and goodbye parties in Havanna, Santiago and Baraco.

There is a Cuban dance partner for each participant and the workshops will be organized as a "Fiesta Cubana" with high energy, life of joy, flirting, play, fantasy, spontanity and good laughs. You will alternate between dancing  with your own Cuban partner and change partners throughout. Some of the dance lessons will take place at the beach. (See example of social dancing and Fiesta Cubana and the beach 2014)

The dancing lessons in the mornings, commen welcome and godbye parties and the bus excursion in Santiago de Cuba is mandatory for all. While participation in private dance lessons, possible cultural activities, etc. in the afternoons and evenings is voluntary.

The price of private dance lessons is from 15-20 CUC (about 105-150 kr.) per. hour for one person and 8-12 CUC for small groups. (60-85 kr.)
